As if Christmas wasn't exciting enough Santa had room for another 8 goals and two different games rolled into one

The Magpies didn't have the best of starts an early corner was met well by Pinnock around the penalty spot and he buried his header for 1-0. A flurry of yellow cards followed from the ref mainly for Peacehaven and the Magpies struggled to get out of their half.

Shaun Saunders was forced into a tactical change after 20 minutes replacing Dan McLaughlin for Lloyd Cotton in order to try and change the pattern of play. The change meant Peacehaven managed to break into the opposition half with Cottons pace but it was TMU who were to score again. Frankie Sawyer's searing pace allowed him to latch onto a loose ball and run 20 yards before belting the ball from 25 yards. The ball hit the underside of the crossbar and flew into the back of the net for 2-0.

Against the run of play again this time Peacehaven had some luck. A good through pass put Burton in and after losing his defender chipped the on rushing keeper inside the box for 2-1 at half time.

With renewed optimism Peacehaven came out for the second half. However a rare mistake from Captain Ash Jones led to his pass being underhit and landing at Sawyers feet. Sawyer headed for the edge of the box and this time drilled a shot low past Di Bernado after 46 minutes. All hope of a comeback had faded. Well maybe to us in the stand but not on the pitch.

A few more tactical shuffles and all of a sudden Tooting's pace had faded and their left side opened up. Peacehaven began to exploit the new gap and attacked at will. Tom Burton strike hit the underside of the bar and was cleared off the line, he then hit the bar and the rebound again was cleared.

Craig Richards head met another corner and this time it was in for 3-2 after 68 minutes. A break into the left corner again allowed a short cross to the edge of the box a couple of steps from Tom Lawley allowed him to bend the ball around the keeper and into the far side of the goal for massive celebrations.

TMU still left the midfielder in place and Peacehaven continued to attack. A pass from marseti allowed another run to the corner flag by Josh Jones and Walker to be played in at the near post. He wasn't going to miss 3-4! Another run to the corner flag and some good play from Jones to put Metcalfe in for the short cross found Walker in the same spot with the same outcome 3-5 after 83 minutes.

Peacehaven continued to attack and we thought a 6th was coming but this time Walker missed. The last 30 minutes were a complete turnaround and Peacehaven went home having crossed the 50 point marker and are now 5 points clear.

Some really big games coming up soon firstly against Three Bridges and then our next home game sees us take on 2nd placed Leatherhead on the 4th. You won't want to miss it!
