After Saturday's ugly win Peacehaven came out of the blocks with fire and brimstone to capture another 3 points and go 10 points clear

With a flurry of games still to go in March and a couple of injuries depleting the squad Shaun Saunders moved to fill the gaps by signing Sean Ray to cover for the injured Craig Richards and Sam Gargan to aid the attack.

These signings reignited the magpies passion and made for a really entertaining game of football. Early in the game Gargan and Tom Burton combined for the opener with a sign of things to come. An error allowed Redhill back in to the match and for much of the rest of the first half both teams looked to play flowing attacking football.

A ping pong sc enario in the Redhill area eventually allowed Sam Gargan to stretch out and poke the ball in from a couple of yards to open his account on his debut. Just before half time Sean Ray took a heavy knock to the nose but having been cleaned up came back for the second half.

The second half was a fairly even affair for the first 25 minutes with many chances for both teams Josh Jones having a one on one chance missed, then Redhill breaking and just missing. A minute or so later Lawley, Gargan and Burton combined with Burton's strike just wide of the post.

The third goal saw good interplay that left Tom Lawley to head for the far corner flag and his cross to meet the head of Sam Gargan to score his second.

The fourth and final goal saw Gargan played through but with two defenders and a keeper to beat shrugged them off to walk the ball in for 4-1.

The remainder of the game with 2 more games in the next 7 days Peacehaven made 3 changes bringing on Eason, Hammond and Millis and then were forced to play the last 10 minutes with 10 men after Josh Jones took a painful knock.

Peacehaven continued to defend well and so made the gap at the top 10 points. Leatherhead face Faversham tomorrow night and the Magpies travel to Herne Bay on Thursday night.

PS Would like to say that I thought it was a really nice touch to let the Eastbourne United boys get on the pitch for a well deserved round of applause at half time before their semi in a couple of weeks.
