Saturday ended a good week for the Magpies as they went in to a two week league break sitting in a healthy 12th place...

Harrow borough arrived placed just below Peacehaven in the table and as expected the fixture was balanced in the first half. Peacehaven enjoyed some strong spells of possession early in the game and began to build up some momentum. The Magpies escaped when a misplaced back pass allowed Harrow through on goal but some indecision let Peacehaven's defence recover.

Shortly after Harrow emulated the defensive error but Peacehaven had James Fraser and Joe Gatting bearing down on the Harrow goalkeeper. The keeper had to make a choice and Fraser let the keeper draw in before squaring the ball to Gatting for a home debut goal.

Five minutes later though Harrow got back into the game. The ball swung into the box and with around 10 players trying to attack the ball eventually it fell to Harrow to fire the ball into the net to leave the game fairly level at 1-1.

The second half started brightly for Harrow who seemed more composed and started to open up opportunities. Unable to take any of the chances they created it then came Peacehaven's time to dominate. For 10 minutes Peacehaven could do no wrong. Gatting was again put through on goal and for the second game in a row hit the woodwork but the keepers desperate attempt to get back for the ball saw him accidently push the into the goal for 2-1. Two minutes later Josh Jones continued to cause trouble down the wing had a second chance from a semi cleared corner. He swung the ball back in and Sami El Abd rose to nod the ball in for 3-1 from 6 yards. Five minutes later Harrows defence gave Gatting to much of a hug on the edge of the box and the Magpies were awarded a free kick in an excellent position. After hitting the crossbar in previous games Josh Jones free kick this time sailed high over the wall dipping under the cross bar for 4-1 and sealed the points. Barker and Pitcher came on for Lawley and Gatting and created some chances but in the last five minutes Harrow were kept at bay by two excellent saves from Di Bernado.

The next game will be a week Weds back at Lewes in the league cup, there is no fixture this Saturday due to Wingate still being in the FA Cup.
