Peacehaven fans made the trip to Harrow to watch what turned out to be a pulsating match for all the fans...

unfortunately Peacehaven's endeavours didn't gain them any points on this occasion but it could easily have been all three.

In the early stages Hendon had the stronger start and scored through Kenzie Ibe. As the half wore on Peacehaven found their way and two goals quickly followed Marc Knee and Lloyd Cotton scored on the 17th and 23rd minute to put Peacehaven in charge. For most of the first half Peacehaven were then able to dominate creating a number of strong passing moves to keep Hendon back in their own half. A number of chances were created the best ending with Josh Jones weaving into space and his parried shot was nearly turned in by Archibald but he hit the upright from a tight angle. The score could have been 4-1 but peacehaven went in ahead at half time 2-1.

The second half saw Hendon put Peacehaven under more pressure but with both teams putting together good passing moves both teams were finding space to create good attacking moves. Hendon eventually let rip with a strike that seriously rattled Di Bernado's bar. A few minutes later a good ball released Marc Knee up the left who played Josh jones in who hit the side netting from the edge of the six yard box.

A corner for Peacehaven was met well by Archibald but his header was well off target. In the end it was Hendon who were able to make space in the 18 yard box and Chris Seeby smashed the ball over the on rushing Di Bernado for 2-2.

The game then went from end to end with both teams creating chances. Peacehaven had the ball scrambled off the line by the Hendon defence on three occasions with a left foot, a diving header and a bundle of players when Hendon's keeper looked to have almost dropped it in his own net. Josh Jones continued to press and harry the Hendon players

The game was always likely to have at least one more goal in it and a minute later Peacehaven's lack of conversion was penalised as again Hendon made it in the box and whilst Di Bernado could save the first shot the rebound was met by the unmarked Dave Diehdou to calmly put the ball into the net.

An exciting game for the fans but an overall good performance from the Magpies left them slightly harshly empty handed. Peacehaven though know seem to have found their rythym and can look forward to what will be another exciting FA Cup encounter with East Preston on Saturday at Piddinghoe Avenue at 3pm.
