In the first half Tonbridge had much of the possession but were unable to create any clear goal scoring opportunities. A number of inswinging crosses were dealt with by Di Bernado and play through the middle of the park was closed down well. With Peacehaven though having to play quite deep chances came with some good space for Peacehaven to break on the counter.
Despite Tonbridge's possession it was Peacehaven that broke the deadlock. A corner wasn't cleared by the Angels and left Burton free to head the ball up over the keeper and in it went off the underside of the bar. On the stroke of half time again Burton found himself free this time to head low into the net for 2-0. Brotherton went off with a twinge in his hamstring and Charlie Pitcher joined the fray.
The second half saw Peacehaven able to play higher up the pitch and also Tonbridge had some better chances to score. After 5 minutes in the second half Pitcher robbed his marker of the ball and broke away with three more Magpies heading for goal. Pitcher squared for Cotton who squared for Burton. Burton knocked the ball wide for the onrushing Josh Jones to drive the ball in low for 3-0.
Tonbridge had a penalty after 70 minutes when Marzetti became entangled with an Angel but Medlock's shot thumped against the post and was cleared. Tonbridge did pull a goal back with a low drive into the bottom corner for 3-1 and they went on the hunt for a second. It wasn't Angels night though and with Pitcher again able to steal the ball from the Angels centre back he broke away and drove the ball through the keepers legs for 4-1.
With four points on the board Peacehaven await Canvey Island on Saturday at 3pm.
