...they finished sixth last year and so an early test for the new squad was anticipated. A good crowd came out to see how Peacehaven may shape up next season.
In the heat Peacehaven came out of the blocks well and had an early lead from Walker and McCreadie. The Barking keeper was having a great game making two great point blank saves to keep the score down.
With Dryer and Lawley creating space and runs down the wings the forwards were in good supply. McCreadie added a second for good measure following a run from Lawley into the box to play in McCreadie just beyond the penalty spot.
A last minute penalty from Barking was slotted away to make the half time score 3-1.
In the second half the heat was telling on both teams and both teams made an number of substitutions to give players a run out. McCreadie went on a run to complete his hat trick by slotting the ball past Barkers on rushing keeper to complete a good day. The defence were not overly tested but did what they had to stop Barking scoring.
