YOU couldn’t make this up ... three down at the end of normal time and Haven end all square.

With the game all but done and Peacehaven & Telscombe staring defeat down the barrel of a gun, Haven fans had resigned themselves to three points lost.

Thoughts of next Monday’s game at Eastbourne Utd already starting to take shape in the minds of Peacehaven fans, and bang, up pops Charlie Lambert in the 92nd minute with a great strike in the top corner. Could there be a chance? No surely not.

A minute later defender Bradley Bant made it 3-2 with a well taken strike. Surely not game on?

And then in the sixth minute of added time up popped captain Reilly Grant (pictured) to head home the equaliser and create bedlam amongst the Haven fans.

It’s fair to say that for the most part Peacehaven we’re not at their best from the moment they went behind in the first minute.

But what you are guaranteed with a Mark Shutt team is a never- say - die spirit, and that was shown in abundance on Tuesday night.

Peacehaven’s season is only six games old and already we’ve had a penalty shootout drama, a last minute winner, scoring six goals with just nine men left on the field after going behind and now this amazing comeback. Whatever next?

The point gained sees Peacehaven move up to fourth place in the fledgling table.

Peacehaven are next in action on Bank Holiday Monday away to Eastbourne Utd. Kick-off 11am.

Peacehaven & Telscombe: Secka, Le Grange, Bant, Marshall (S), Hall, Okurougo, Brocklebank, Lambert, Cheeseman, Lloyd, Grant. Subs: Allen, Olulode, Green, Kinkene, Wiltshire.

Attendance: 156.
