MIKEY Lloyd struck in the 91st minute to bring all three points back to Peacehaven.

In a game dominated by the hot conditions which resulted in water breaks in both halves, Peacehaven should have been three up by half time.

Lloyd (pictured) some how contrived to miss with just six minutes played when he dragged his shot wide when it looked like it would have been easier to score.

The same player had another gilt - edge chance as did Charlie Lambert in the dying embers of the half, but Peacehaven had to settle with 0-0 going into the break.

On 48 minutes Peacehaven did have the ball in the net but it was chalked off. It was difficult to see what the referee had seen but presumably it was a foul on Utd keeper Jordan Hawkins.

On 52 minutes Peacehaven were ahead. Jake Brocklebank went on a mazy run and was brought down in the box.

From the resulting spot kick, the same player made no mistake to give Peacehaven a deserved lead.

As the game wore on, Peacehaven dropped back deeper and were punished in the 75th minute when United drew level after an almighty goalmouth scramble which saw Haven clear off the line, followed by an outstanding save from Loz Sanded in the Haven goal before the ball was forced over the line.

But as recent history shows, Peacehaven are developing into a last minute team and in the 91st minute Mikey Lloyd jinked his way past the advancing goalkeeper and then had just two defenders on the goal line to beat. This time he made no mistake and slammed the ball home to make it 2-1 to Peacehaven.

Peacehaven did shade the game but Utd will no doubt be disappointed not to have got something from it.
