NEWHAVEN TOWN’S joint manager Sean Breach recently completed a 5K charity run wearing a Peacehaven & Telscombe FC shirt.

The long-serving joint manager of Peacehaven’s oldest rivals vowed that if The Run 5K for the NHS Fund which is being organised by Kevin Keehan raised £3,000, he would complete the run wearing a shirt of rivals Peacehaven.

Players throughout Sussex are joining the run. They run 5K, ensuring appropriate social distancing, take a picture of themselves and the route they took and then make a donation to the cause.

True to his word with the fund now having gone through the £9,000 barrier for this brilliant cause Breach did the run wearing a Peacehaven shirt.

Football rivalries don’t come much older or more traditional than that of Peacehaven and Newhaven. But at the root of the rivalry is mutual respect. So huge respect goes out to Sean Breach for not faltering on his side of the bargain.

And Breach also encapsulated in just a few words what everyone is currently thinking when he said: “Just washed my car. I’m never going to moan about Pagham away on a Tuesday night again!” We all know what he means.

*Former Peacehaven & Telscombe U23 assistant manager Graham Clark also completed the run as well as Peacehaven player Scott Marshall and Under 15s Black players Ryan, Kasper and Nobby.
